The Rilke trail starts from the Sistiana AIAT forecourt, alongside the trunk road n° 14 at the intersection for Sistiana Mare. Protected by a wooden fence, you walk right along the Karst edge while admiring the Sistiana bay, one of the most beautiful and fascinating bays of the Northern Adriatic Sea. Then you penetrate into the heart of the pine forest and return to the edge, which hangs, poised between sea and sky, right over the bay of Duino.
